A. I service all of Henry County and some surrounding counties depending on what my schedule will allow.
Q. What types of pet(s) do you watch?
A. I will sit for cats, dogs, birds, fish, reptiles, and any other small caged animals.
Q. What is pet sitting?
A.Pet sitting is designed for vacations, business trips, and emergencies, and is performed in your home. Visits last approximately 30-40 minutes Mon-Sun 7am-10pm. Schedule as many visits as you need. This plan includes mail pick-up, plant watering, and trash take-out. Prices are determined by location and number of pets. 2 visits a day are necessary for indoor canines with no outdoor access. For all other pets only 1 daily visit is necessary.
Q. Can I trust you in my home?
A. Yes! I am insured, and bonded which protects the client from theft and damage to personal property. I am also a member of GNPP and NAPPS which requires their members to abide by a professional code of conduct.
Q. Won't you need a spare key to my home while rendering pet care services?
A. Yes, all keys are color coded. Client's personal information such as addresses are kept separate from keys. If I should lose your spare key, my insurance will pay to have your door rekeyed. All keys are returned within 7 days after services have ended either in person or through certified mail. There is a $5.00 key return fee.
Q. Can I trust you with my pets?
A. I am an active volunteer at the Henry County Humane Society, and a past volunteer for the Fredericksburg VA Humane Society. I am also NAPPS certified. A NAPPS certification (National Association of Professional Pet Sitters)ensures that your pet will get the best of care, and you will be treated with respect and courtesy. NAPPS promotes their member's professional integrity through its Pledge of Professional Conduct. I also have a genuine respect for animals, and the individual personalities they possess. I own 2 cats Percy and Ralphie.
Q. What other services do you offer?
A. I not only offer pet sitting, but I offer overnight stays, dog walking and pet taxi ser-vices. Dog-walking takes place Mon-Fri between 9am-5pm. This service is designed not only for dog-walking but mid-day potty breaks, and meals.
Q. What are your rates?
A. Pet sitting & Dog Walking rates are determined by your location and number of pets.
Q. How can a pet sitter save me money?
A. When you have more than 1 pet hiring a pet sitter can save you a considerable amount of money.
Q. What if there is an emergency with my pet while they are in your care?
A. Though I am not CPR and First Aid Certified , my NAPPS certification covers first aid. Therefore I will know how to respond with basic first aid in many emergency situations until your pet can be seen by a veterinarian. I will keep your emergency vet’s information on file, along with an emergency vet authorization form so that your pet can have access to medical care in the event an emergency should arise while you are away. A fee of $25 will be charged if I should have to respond to an emergency situation while your pet is in my care.
Q. What about Holidays? Will you watch my pet on major Holidays?
A. Absolutely! A small charge of $10 is charged for services rendered on specific Holidays.
